Annamaria Lusardi
Professor
Dartmouth College

Annamaria Lusardi is professor of economics at Dartmouth College. She has taught at Dartmouth College, Princeton University, the University of Chicago Public Policy School and the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.  From January through June 2008, she was a visiting scholar at Harvard Business School. Dr. Lusardi's main area of research are saving, Social Security and pensions, financial literacy and financial education. Her book "Overcoming the saving slump: How to increase the effectiveness of financial education and saving programs" will be published by the University of Chicago Press at the end of 2008.  Dr. Lusardi has won numerous research awards, including a research fellowship from the Irving B. Harris Graduate School of Public Policy Studies at the University of Chicago, a faculty fellowship from the John M. Olin Foundation, and junior and senior faculty fellowships from Dartmouth College. Together with Olivia Mitchell, she is the recipient of the Fidelity Pyramid Prize, awarded to authors of published applied research that best helps address the goal of improving lifelong financial well-being for Americans. Her research has been supported by numerous institutions, including the National Endowment for Financial Education, the National Institute on Aging, the National Science Foundation, the US Department of Labor, TIAA-CREF, and the Social Security Administration via the University of Michigan Retirement Research Center and the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College. Dr Lusardi holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics from Princeton University.
