		(UM12-11) - Personality Traits and Economic Preparation for Retirement Michael Hurd, Angela Lee Duckworth, Susann Rohwedder and David Weir This project will bring together two lines of research that have been supported in prior years by the Social Security Administration through the Michigan Retirement Research Center: Hurd-Rohwedder research on economic preparation for retirement, and Duckworth-Weir research on personality and economic outcomes. The main objective will be to estimate the effect of personality traits on economic preparation for retirement. A secondary objective will be to explore the relationship between personality and economic responses to the Great Recession.
